Under an hour from London, on England's south coast is the City of Brighton. Sandwiched between the stunning South Downs and the English Channel, this charming City was voted the happiest place in the UK for a good reason. Originally a Saxon fishing Village, this City has been around since the 12th Century. Moving forward to the 18th Century, this town transformed following the completion of the famous Royal Pavilion, which was built for the Prince of Wales. This development allowed Brighton to flourish into the thriving City it is known as today. Alongside the Pavilion is the Palace Pier. Together, these stunning seaside structures have survived well over a century, which included two world wars. Today, these features welcome millions of visitors each year.
